What $2.99 buys
One letter, paid once. There is no plan, no renewal date and no account to close later. Each letter you generate is priced on its own, and if you never come back you are never charged again.
- The complete letter text, written for your situation from the details you entered — not a template with your name dropped into it.
- A clean PDF laid out for printing, signing and posting, with no watermark and no branding.
- An email copy, so the letter is somewhere you can find it again when the reply arrives three weeks later.
- The right legal framing for your country, including the notice periods and statutory references that apply where you live.
What the free preview gives you
Before paying anything you get the opening of your letter — enough to judge the tone, the structure and whether the document has understood your situation. Three previews per month, no account required. If the opening reads like something you would not send, close the tab; that is what the preview is for.
How this compares
- A solicitor or lawyer charges $100–300 an hour and is the right call when there is real money or a real dispute at stake. For a cancellation, a school absence note or a landlord repair request, it is not proportionate.
- Template subscription sites typically run $20–40 a month and renew automatically. They are good value if you write letters constantly. Most people need two letters a year, pay for eleven months they do not use, and then have to remember to cancel — which is the business model, not an accident.
- Free template libraries cost nothing and work when your case is ordinary. They stop working when the specifics matter: the notice period in your region, the statutory article to cite, the exact wording an insurer will accept.
- Print-and-post services handle delivery but not drafting. You still have to write the letter.
Posting is priced separately
If you would rather not deal with an envelope, we can print and post the letter for you, with standard or certified delivery. That is charged on its own because it is a real physical cost that varies by destination — it is never bundled into the $2.99 or added silently at checkout.
Why there is no subscription
Because the honest answer is that most people need one letter, occasionally. A subscription would earn more from customers who forget to cancel than from customers who are served well, and we would rather you come back when you actually need a letter than pay us monthly for one you do not.
